Wizz Air to Close Bari and Cardiff Bases

January 10, 2023

BARI/CARDIFF, 10 JAN | European low-cost carrier, Wizz Air has announced the closure of their Bari base and that they will not re-open their Cardiff base by end-February.

On 29 January, Wizz Air will terminate their remaining two routes to Cardiff- from Bucharest and Milan MXP. The airline will drop out of Cardiff completely and permanently close their base.

Furthermore, on 16 February, the airline will shut down their Bari base, with the aircraft stationed to leave from 24 January onwards. However, unlike Cardiff, the airline will continue to operate domestic and international routes to Cardiff, with only 1 route cancelled, which is London-Gatwick to Bari.
