WestJet Embarks On US Expansion With 6 New Routes

CANADA, 16 NOV | WestJet will enhance its services to the United States next year with 6 new routes and 3 new destinations. The airline will launch flights to Raleigh-Durham, Anchorage and Salt Lake City for the first time from mid-2025.

On May 15th, WestJet will commence a 5x weekly service from Edmonton to Salt Lake City and Chicago later in the month. The following month, the carrier will launch flights from Calgary to Raleigh-Durham and Anchorage from June 9th (3x weekly) and June 29th (2x weekly) respectively. In June, the airline will also begin flights from Vancouver to Boston (June 9th, 7x weekly) and Tampa (June 14, 1x weekly). Furthermore, the Calgary to Austin service will recieve a 3rd weekly flight too.

The airline is currently the only year-round operator on all of these services.

Following several slot approvals earlier in the week, the airline is also speculated to launch services from St Johns to Paris-CDG and Dublin, in addition to a route between Halifax and Paris-CDG.
