Vistara Takes Delivery of India's First A321LR

INDIA, 4 FEB | India's First Airbus A321LR is now on the way from the Airbus Factory in Hamburg to Delhi. The aircraft, VT-TVG was constructed just a few months ago and is ready to be delivered to Vistara following a series of test flights.

The airline is not a stranger to the A321- as it currently has a handful of A321neo aircraft. While it has not been confirmed, the airline is rumoured to fly the A321LR to Maldives, and Middle Eastern destinations.

The following is the aircraft's logs, according to AIB:

September 13, 2022 - Aircraft body seen without engines and livery
November 19, 2022 - Spotted with livery applied
December 16, 2022 - Spotted with engines installed
January 6, 2023 - First test flight
January 24, 2023 - Customer acceptance flight
February 4, 2023 - Delivery flight (XFW-DEL)

In October 2014, Airbus started marketing a longer range 97 t (214,000 lb) maximum takeoff weight variant with three auxiliary fuel tanks, giving it 100 nmi (190 km) more operational range than a Boeing 757-200.Airbus launched the A321LR (Long Range) on 13 January 2015; it has a range of 4,000 nmi (7,400 km) with 206 seats in two classes. On 31 January 2018, the variant completed its first flight. Airbus announced its certification on 2 October 2018.
