SWISS to Introduce the Airbus A350 in 2025

ZURICH, 13 DECEMBER | After a few months of deciding, SWISS International Air Lines has decided to introduce the Airbus A350-900 instead of the Boeing 787. The new additon to the fleet is expected to be delivered to the airline in 2025, as per their announcement on Twitter.

The Lufthansa Group, which SWISS belongs to, already has 41 A350-900s on order, with majority of the A350s slated to be delivered to Lufthansa, while the rest will be given to SWISS. The brand-new aircraft will also feature new cabin interiors.

The Airbus A350s will replace SWISS's aging fleet of Airbus A340s, which will be sent to scrap or to their subsidiary, Edelweiss Air.
