Air India Express Reportedly Launching Direct Surat-Bangkok Flights

SURAT, 4 DEC | Sources suggest that Air India Express (AIX) will be launching direct Surat to Bangkok flights, alongside other carriers planning to launch international routes from Surat in 2024.

Surat Airport Action Committee President Sanjay Ezhava confirmed that Surat Airport will soon establish direct air connectivity with Bangkok, along with other key destinations like Malaysia and Singapore, starting February 2024. Air India Express is reportedly gearing up for a 3x weekly direct service from Surat to Bangkok in February and is also planning to launch services to Kuala Lumpur and Singapore via Mumbai 3x weekly, alongisde Vistara.

As of now, Surat only has one direct international flight which is AIX's service to Sharjah. These new connections will be a major milestone for Surat, increasing connectivity with the region. While no official announcement has been made yet, do expect one soon!
