Singapore Airlines Resumes Direct Barcelona Flights

December 26, 2022

SINGAPORE, 26 DECEMBER | Singapore Airlines has announced the long-awaited return of nonstop flights between Singapore Changi (SIN) and Barcelona El-Prat (BCN), the only direct link from Singapore to Spain. The newly-relaunched service will begin on 3rd July next year, twice weekly. The route will be operated by Singapore Airlines' fleet of Airbus A350-900s.

Prior to this, the Singapore-Barcelona route was operated with a stop in Milan-Malpensa (MXP). While that stopover route will continue 5x weekly, the direct option helps to reduce travel time for those going on connections within Spain and vice versa.

SQ388 will depart Singapore at 11.35pm and arrive the next day at 6.55am, and the inbound leg, SQ387 departs Barcelona at 11.05am and arrive the following day at 6am in Singapore.

The Singapore-Barcelona direct route was last operated in August 2020, in the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
