Scoot Nears Deal With Embraer For Up to 50 Aircraft

December 26, 2022

SINGAPORE, 26 DECEMBER | Singapore Airlines subsidiary, Scoot, is near a deal with Brazilian manufacturer, Embraer for up to 50 new aircraft worth over 1 billion dollars. If the order is placed, Scoot will become one of the first in the region to operate the type, and will further increase the diversity of Singapore Airlines Group's aircraft.

The order is rumoured to consist of Embraer's E2 family of jets, which will enable the airline to operate on short-haul flights that would not be profitable with bigger Airbus and Boeing jets.
