Qantas Resumes Brisbane-Tokyo Service

December 1, 2022

BRISBANE, 1 DECEMBER | Today, the "Flying Kangaroo" has resumed flights from Brisbane to Tokyo Haneda. The flight establishes the first direct connection between Brisbane and Tokyo's Haneda Airport by any airline, replacing Qantas' former service to Narita Airport, and will save travellers more than an hour commuting into Tokyo city on arrival.

This route is operated by Airbus A330-300 aircraft, as follows:

QF61 BNE 1150 - HND 2000 A330
QF62 HND 2130 - BNE 0735 (+1) A330

The first flight on the route is currently being operated by VH-EBO, a 12.1-year-old Airbus A330-300. It is expected to land at 8.40pm local time in Tokyo-HND at the time of writing.

Later next year, the carrier will also resume flights from Melbourne to Tokyo-HND.
