Precision Air ATR-42 Crashes In Tanzania

Just 30 minutes ago, a Precision Air ATR-42 aircraft crashed in Lake Victoria, Tanzania's Kagera region. The aircraft ditched into the water, just minutes away from Bukoba. The flight had 49 passengers onboard.

The crash occured on Precision Air flight PW494 from Dar-es-Salaam to Bukoba. The aircraft on the route was 5H-PWF, a 12.2-year-old ATR-42 aircraft, delivered in August 2010.

According to pictures from various sources, the aircraft seems intact, so there is a high chance of survivors. Planeopedia will keep you updated as this story develops.

Rescue efforts are underway, alongside investigations.
