Norse to Open New Base in Manchester

June 3, 2023

UK, 3 JUN | Reports suggest that low-cost, long-haul airline Norse Atlantic Airways could open a new base in Manchester this November. The ever-expanding airline has applied for daily slots from 5 November onwards, with no destinations listed yet.

If Norse goes through with the new base, it could cover up the massive gap in the Manchester market left behind by Thomas Cook- and provide affordable, long-haul travel from the region. It is highly likely that Norse will launch flights from Manchester to New York first, as they did with previous bases.

As of now, Norse Atlantic Airways UK division has 5 aircraft in its fleet, with 2 more expected to join- which could possibly be based in the future Manchester hub.
