December 26, 2022

KUALA LUMPUR, 26 DECEMBER | Malaysia's newest airline, MYAirline has taken delivery of their 4th and 5th aircraft today morning. The two Airbus A320-200s will enter into service in 2023 as the airline continues to expand to many more destinations within Southeast Asia.

The first aircraft, 9M-DAF, is a 13.4-year-old Airbus A320-200, delivered to Air Berlin in September 2009. The airframe also flew with Avolon and easyJet prior to joining MYAirline.

The second aircraft's new registration is still unknown, as its fuselage still displays its former Thai AirAsia registration. However, we know that the A320 is 13.2 years old, and was delivered to AirAsia in November 2009.

Two more Airbus A320-200s are expected to join the fleet in coming weeks, bringing the airline's fleet of aircraft up to 9 aircraft.

The brand-new airline made its debut in early December, and is actively expanding its network within Malaysia and beyond, presenting strong competiton to its rival- AirAsia.
