SEOUL, 21 MAR | Following today's Japan Airlines order, South Korea's Korean Air too has announced an order for 33 of the flagship widebody Airbus A350. This order entails 6 of the -900 variant and 27 of the larger -1000 variant.
While this may be Korean Air's first A350 order, the airline will likely have its flagship aircraft model, as it will soon merge with Asiana Airlines, which currently has a fleet of 15 A350-900s. The Skyteam carrier will also be replacing their older widebody jets, namely the B777 with these new additions.
The airline also noted that these new Airbus A350s will likely be serving key routes such as those to North America with numerous daily services.
