Jetstar To Resume Service Between Newcastle and Cairns

NEWCASTLE, 26 NOV | Jetstar will offer more than 18,000 low fares seats a year with the resumption of its popular seasonal service between Cairns (CNS) and Newcastle (NTL) next year.

The route will be operated from 2 July to 24 October 2025, 3x weekly (Monday, Wednesday, Friday) with Airbus A320 aircraft. To celebrate the relaunch, Jetstar is offering one-way fares between the two destinations from $109. The airline will be the only carrier operating on this sector, expanding its vast domestic network.

Flight Schedule:

The outbound service JQ855 departs CNS at 12pm, arriving in NTL at 2.45pm. The inbound service JQ856 later departs at 3.20pm, arriving in CNS at 6.15pm.

From Newcastle, Jetstar also flies to Brisbane, Gold Coast and Melbourne. Conversely, from Cairns, Jetstar has a wider network, flying to Adelaide, Brisbane, Christchurch, Bali, Gold Coast, Melbourne, Osaka, Perth, Sunshine Coast, Sydney and Tokyo-Narita.
