DEVELOPING: JetBlue A220 Rolls Off Runway at Boston Upon Landing

June 13, 2025

BOSTON, 12 JUN | A JetBlue Airbus A220-300 has rolled off the runway upon arrival at Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) before coming to a complete stop. All passengers and crew have safely evacuated from the aircraft via airstairs and shuttled to the terminal using buses. No injuries have been reported so far.

The flight originated from Chicago (ORD) as part of service B6312 and landed 12 minutes ahead of schedule at 11.48am local time. It was operated by N3242J, a 6-month-old Airbus A220-300 delivered to the airline on 17 January 2025.

Passengers onboard the aircraft report that the pilot said they "had lost control of the steering on landing" and veered left into the grass patch.

The FAA had placed a ground stop earlier, but it appears that flights are moving again at the time of writing. All all inbound flights are instructed to remain at their origin until 14:00 EST. This has led to delays of about 30 to 45 minutes.

This is a developing story, come back soon for more updates.
