Indigo to Begin Boeing 777 Widebody Service in February

December 30, 2022

NEW DELHI, 30 DECEMBER | Indian low-cost carrier, Indigo, will begin flights with their biggest jet yet- the Boeing 777 on 1 February. Earlier this year, the airline leased 2 Boeing 777-200LRs to use on their long-haul or high-density flights. The airline eyed plans to further link Europe with India.

On 1 February, the airline will utilise the Boeing 777-200LR on services from New Delhi (DEL) to Istanbul (IST). This route is currently being operated by the airline's fleet of Airbus A321s, but with a stopover in Ras Al Khaimah. Today morning, the airline opened reservations for the direct route.

The schedule is as follows:

6E011 DEL 0735 - 1215 IST 77W B777-200LR
6E012 IST 2015 - 0445(+1) DEL B777-200LR
