EgyptAir to Order 18 737 MAX Aircraft

DUBAI AIRSHOW DAY 1 | November 13, 2023




DUBAI AIRSHOW (Day 1), 13 NOV | EgyptAir has ordered 18 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft in a deal at the ongoing Dubai Airshow 2023. This new order is a deal with lessor, Air Lease Corporation, and deliveries are expected between 2025 and 2026.

Therefore, EgyptAir's short haul fleet structure will become majority Boeing, with 29 Boeing 737-800NG & 18 737 MAX 8 (total 47) as compared to their Airbus short-haul fleet with 17 A320 family aircraft, and 12 A220 aircraft (total 29), instead of having a partial split with 29 units each.
