China Eastern Launches Flights to Cairns

SHANGHAI, 4 DEC | Next February, China Eastern Airlines will launch a limited time service from Shanghai Pu Dong (PVG) to Cairns, Australia (CNS). This new route is projected to introduce 2320 seats to Cairns and the surrounding region for the Chinese New Year.

The PVG-CNS route will be operated 4x weekly with Airbus A330-200 aircraft from 4 to 18 February 2024. The last time a flight was operated from China to Cairns was a seasonal service by Hainan Airlines from Shenzhen between 2019 and 2020. These direct services will be operated on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays as follows:

MU571 PVG 0030 to 1125 CNS
MU572 CNS 1405 to 2040 PVG
