British Airways to Launch New US Route

This year, British Airways has flown to over 26 destinations in the United States from London. Recently, it has been confirmed that the airline will launch a brand-new route from London to the US, by various sources and route analysts. However, the route is still unknown- but there is a promising lead on a particular one.

Late last year, British Airways proposed a route from London-Heathrow to Indianapolis, and seeked to purchase slots. However, in December, British Airways scrapped the route from their Summer 2022 schedule. Despite this, they stated that the route was still considered as a future destination. Now, just a year later, as air travel is back to almost pre-covid levels, there is a very high chance that this route will be the new addition to British Airways's network in Summer 2023.

If launched, the route will likely be operated by the airline's fleet of Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
