Batik Air Malaysia Resumes Flights to Taipei

November 5, 2022

From 3 January 2023, Malaysian budget carrier, Batik Air Malaysia, will resume flights from Kuala Lumpur International Airport Terminal 1 (KUL) to Taipei Taoyuan International Airport (TPE). The route will be operated 3x weekly with Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. Tickets are on sale from 4 November onwards.

The schedule is as follows:

OD888 KUL0730 to 1225TPE 737MAX8
OD889 TPE0005 to 0455KUL 737MAX8

In previous years, this route continued on a fifth-freedom leg to Osaka and Sapporo. Given the long turnaround time at Taipei, it is highly likely that Batik Air will launch such a flight in coming days to maximise profit from the route, instead of leaving the plane in Taipei for 12 hours.
