Batik Air Launches Adelaide Flights

April 24, 2023

KUALA LUMPUR, 24 APRIL | Batik Air Malaysia has announced the launch of direct flights from Kuala Lumpur to Adelaide, 3x weekly from 13 July 2023. The route will be operated by the airline's newest fleet of Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The route will be operated as follows:

The outbound leg, OD121 will depart Kuala Lumpur at 11.10pm, landing in Adelaide at 7.50am the following day. After that, the inbound leg, OD122 will depart Adelaide at 8.40am, landing at 2.55pm in Kuala Lumpur the same day.

However, the airline is no stranger to Adelaide, as the airline used to fly a route from Kuala Lumpur- Denpasar- Adelaide, which was cancelled in September 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic reducing demand.

The airline's only competitor on this route is Malaysia Airlines, which operates the service using their fleet of Airbus A330 aircraft.
