Akasa Air Likely To Launch International Operations to Dubai
December 14, 2023
14 DEC | India's Akasa Air will likely begin international operations in Summer 2024 with direct services to Dubai as the airline has successfully secured daily slots to Dubai (DXB).
However, one more hurdle is left before the airline can begin Dubai services, which are bilateral rights (before an airline can operate international services to another country, the government must first negotiate a treaty level agreement with the destination country's government, known as bilateral rights agreements). All bilateral rights to the UAE have been exhausted, but with the ceasure of Go First's operations, the rights will likely be reassigned to Akasa Air.
