MUMBAI, 16 FEB | After much anticipation and speculation, India's Akasa Air is going International, with 4x weekly services from Mumbai to Doha! The airline has announced its 19th destination today with direct flights to the Qatari capital from 28 March 2024. These new sectors will be operated on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays with their fleet of Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, as follows;

Prospects of their first international destinations arised in August 2023, when the airline recieved their 20th aircraft, making them eligible for such operations. In October, the airline was granted flying rights to several Middle Eastern countries, with Dubai being the most highly-speculated. This marks the start of a new era for the airline as it expands regionally and eventually, globally.
