Akasa Air to Launch Bhopal Flights

BHOPAL, 12 AUG | India's newest airline, Akasa Air, is gearing up to begin operations to Bhopal, sources suggest. The airline, which began operations just over a year ago, has been ever-expanding around the Indian sub-continent- with international flights too around the corner.

Bhopal's airport director informed sources that the airline is expected to link up Pune and Kolkata with Bhopal, with flights already scheduled for the Winter 2023 schedule (October 2023 to March 2024). While there has been no formal announcement by the airline, the new routes seem to already be set in stone. The airline is also rumoured to be launching operations to Indore too.

As of now, routes from Bhopal are dominated by Indigo- which runs 20 daily flights, followed by Air India with 6 daily services. What are your thoughts on Akasa entering the Bhopal market? Comment below.
