BEIJING, 17 MAR | Chinese flag carrier, Air China, has announced its return to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) from 1 April 2023. The newly-launched Beijing Capital to London Gatwick route will be operated by the airline's fleet of Airbus A330-300 aircraft 4x weekly, later increasing to a daily service from 17 April.

Flight CA851 will depart Beijing Capital at 2.35am, landing in Gatwick at 6.55am. The inbound CA852 service will depart a few hours later at 12.20pm, landing in Beijing at 5.15am the following day.

The airline is no stranger to London, as it continues to operate its daily services to London-Heathrow. The London Gatwick route was last operated in early 2020, and was suspended as a result of COVID-19.
