Air Algerie Orders 7 Airbus Jets

June 2, 2023

ALGIERS, 2 JUN | Algerian national carrier, Air Algerie has ordered 7 new Airbus widebody jets today- consisting of 5 A330-900neos and 2 A350-1000s. These new aircraft are the latest generation of Airbus aircraft and will assist Air Algerie in fleet modernization. The aircraft will be delivered in the next few years.

The newly-ordered A330neos will likely enter service very soon, as Airbus has numerous non taken up units (ntu) of the type, and Air Algerie currently operates the A330-200, so pilots can be trained easily.

The new aircraft will give major improvements to the relatively old (avg 15 years) Air Algerie fleet as it features the award-winning Airbus Airspace cabin and substancial operational savings. The A350-1000 in particular will also allow for ultra-long-haul services from Algeria, to places such as Perth, San Francisco and many more!
