AeroItalia Inaugurates Florence to London-Heathrow Route

FLORENCE, 26 DECEMBER | Italian airline, Aeroitalia will begin flights today from their Florence hub to London Heathrow.

The new route was announced earlier this month and will be operated 5x weekly with Boeing 737-800 aircraft, as follows:

XZ2111 FLR 0700 - 0805 LHR
XZ2112 LHR 0855 - 1200 FLR

As of now, only Aeroitalia is operating the route, as other competitors are flying to Florence from London-Luton and London-Gatwick.

The inaugural flight is operated by 9H-GEF, a 19.9-year-old Boeing 737-800, delivered to Air Berlin in Feburary 2003.
