DAR ES SALAAM, 13 OCT | Air Tanzania today will commence operations using their Boeing 737 MAX 9 aircraft to India and Zimbabwe from their hub in Dar es Salaam. The airline is the first in Africa to operate the extended MAX variant.
The aircraft will be deployed 4x weekly to Mumbai, and 4x weekly to Harare and Lusaka from today evening onwards.
This is one of 4 aircraft expected by the airline, with the second expected to arrive before the end of this year. The fleet of MAX aircraft will complement their A220-300s on regional and short-haul international destinations.
