Iberia and TUI Fly have Launched Repatriation Flights to Morocco


Europe, 1st December 2021 | Iberia and TUI Fly Belgium have organised repatriation flights to Morocco. This comes after the Moroccan government's decision to close its airspace for 14 days, following fears due to the new Omicron COVID-19 variant.

Hundreds of flights have been cancelled due to this closure, leaving tons of Belgian and Spanish Citizens stranded. Thus, their national airlines- TUI Fly Belgium and Iberia have launched repatriation flights.

Iberia (Spain) has collaborated with the Embassy of Spain in Morocco and is permitted to perform repatriation flights on December 2, 4, 7, 9 and 11, from Casablanca to Madrid. These flights will be operated by their A320 family aircraft. Those interested should call their hotline: +212 520 426 053.

TUI Fly Belgium on the other hand, will operate repatriation flights to their Moroccan destinations of Marrakech, Agadir, Casablanca, Nador, Tangier, Al Hoceima, Oujda, Rabat and Tetouan to Brussels, Charleroi and Antwerp in Belgium. These repatriation flights are for their 2377 Belgian customers, who have been affected by the cancellation of flights between 30 November and 13 December. The repatriation flights will occur between 1 and 5 December.
