Binter Canarias Launches Direct Flights From Gran Canaria to San Sebastian


Canary Islands, Spain | Canarian Airline, Binter Canarias performed an inaugural flight from Gran Canaria to San Sebastian. This is a big event as this is the first direct flight connecting San Sebastian to the Canary Islands

Today, inaugural flight NT5300 departed Gran Canaria Airport at 8.42am, after a 12-minute delay, and landed early at 12.23pm instead of 12:35pm in San Sebastian, lasting a total of 2 hours and 41 minutes. The flight was operated by EC-NFA, a 2.1-year-old Embraer E195-E2, which was delivered to Binter in December 2019.

Every Wednesdays and Sundays, flights from Gran Canaria to San Sebastian will depart at 8.30am and land at 12.35pm. On the same days, flights from San Sebastian to Gran Canaria will also proceed, talking off at 1.15pm and landing at 3.20pm.

According to Binter Canarias, Passengers on this route will enjoy not only the comfort of its planes, but also a high-end on-board service, with huge benefits for all passengers which includes a gourmet aperitif during the route, and an on-board entertainment service where the passenger can access from their phone or tablet to a wide variety of exclusive content, such as newspapers and magazines, music, games, videos or an interactive map of the flight.

The airline has also been offering international routes since 2005 with the aim of connecting the Canary Islands with foreign countries with direct flights, thus strengthening the Archipelago's position as a hub. There are currently 16 international destinations served: nine in Africa - Casablanca, Marrakech, Agadir, El Aaiun, Dakhla, Nouakchott, Dakar, Banjul and Sal - and seven in Europe - Lisbon and Madeira in Portugal, Toulouse, Marseille and Lille in France and Turin and Venice in Italy.
