Akasa Air Likely To Launch Port Blair Flights

November 11, 2023

INDIA, 11 NOV | India's newest airline, Akasa Air, is rumoured to have Port Blair (IXZ) as its next destination. The airline has recently uploaded Port Blair as a destination in its flight schedule, with Bengaluru (BLR) and Chennai (MAA) listed as routes from Port Blair.

Port Blair, located in the Andaman and Nicobar islands, has become a popular destination lately, with Indigo, Vistara, Air India and SpiceJet operating regular services to the island airport- with a second terminal recently inaugurated in July 2023. If Akasa does pursue their Chennai-Port Blair and Bengaluru-Port Blair routes listed on their flight schedules, it would be the airline's longest flights, with a distance of 1373km and 1643km respectively.
